There was no recovery in this book although I didn't bother to read more than a third or so, before I actually set it on fire.. I purchased this book after my husband told me he had a porn problem. As a new member of the group, von Neumann speedily grasped the essentials of the new science and contributed valuable theoretical feedback, but an almost total lack of hands-on electronic expertise on his part prevented any serious contribution to the nuts and bolts of the project. Rubin provides a simple yet poignant narrative of what went through his mind and what all the volunteers had to face in combat. The title is misleading. The fascinating life of the main character of this book, John von Neumann.
