Not a long book, but packed with great instruction. Many cinematography and acting cues seen in other, more technical books are cleverly and entertainingly utilized in the storyboards of films like "NIMH", "All Dogs Go To Heaven" and "Anastasia".

Overall I'd say this is an excellent tool for beginners. She impacted my life in a most profound way. This is a stand-alone novel, but with the work Pogach has put into world building, I would be surprised if he doesnt write more books in this universe he has established.

The world of The Spider in the Laurel is a near future dystopia where the outcome of religious wars was establishment of a Big Brother like police state where any and every faith has been outlawed. One thing I could do without though is the side illustrations, they take up too much room that could maybe be used for information. I recommend this book for anyone wanting to better understand the paleo diet or is considering the change to a paleo lifestyle.
